TL;DR: You can download PAM on your mobile, tablet or via a web browser on web.mypam.co

New to PAM? Start a free trial and you can use it on any device from day one.

PAM's shared family calendar shown on a mobile, laptop, tablet and tv, with month, week and per-person views

When we started PAM, focusing on mobile was a given–it’s where we spend most of our time, check our email, get all those group chats and school comms. But since very early on, desktop has been one of the biggest requests we received from our users, and we get it: there’s solid research that says we prefer large devices for important and non-trivial tasks

Mobile is great to get things into PAM and get a quick snapshot, but when we need to have a good planning session it’s harder to huddle with the family around a little screen, where you can talk about the week while having a hot beverage, perhaps by a tasteful fireplace. We hope the tablet and desktop version mean fewer systems and workarounds for your family. You don’t need any other subscriptions or a different account, and can enjoy everything PAM offers whichever way you prefer.

A hard fought admin session

Admin parties are a hot commodity right now (hey, if you’re running one, get in touch, we want to learn and maybe even shout you a coffee!) and sometimes there’s just a few items that we’ve been procrastinating on that need attention. Visibility of a whole month, or when multiple people are doing something can be tricky on mobile, and with bigger screens we can get a better view of the whole picture and shift things around when needed.

The family whiteboard, without the smudged bits

Moving from the whiteboard to a digital calendar is one of the main ways families tell us when they move to PAM, and they stay for everything else PAM can do that a whiteboard can’t. (Have you tried just sending a photo of the board to PAM yet? 😉)

If you have an old iPad or tablet, you can set it up as an always-on device that lives in the living room or kitchen, and where the whole family can see what they have on today, tick off tasks and review the plan for the weekend. It’s great for kids chores and for a quick check-in about what we have on today before the day gets going.

For those who don’t want another app

For many installing another app is a chore, and for those who were reluctant PAM can just be a tab once they open web.mypam.co. The browser version has all the features that the installed PAM has, including push and WhatsApp notifications. We understand some might just want a quick setup and stay in the loop after that, and app fatigue is a real thing, and this flexibility means you choose how to savour what PAM has to offer.

Try PAM on desktop

Head to web.mypam.co and sign in with the account you already have. Nothing to install, nothing new to set up.

And if there's someone in your household who never got around to downloading the app, send them the link.

Frequently asked questions

Which devices does PAM support?

PAM supports iPhones, iPads and all Android phones or tablets. You can also download PAM for Mac computers, and if your device is not supported as an app you can use PAM on web.mypam.co. See the details about the devices PAM supports

Do I need a new account or a separate subscription?

No. It's the same PAM, the same login and the same subscription. Sign in at web.mypam.co with the account you already have and everything's there.

Do I have to download anything to use PAM on my computer?

No. PAM runs in any web browser at web.mypam.co, on Windows or Mac.

Will I still get notifications in the browser version?

Yes. The browser version has everything the installed app does, including push and WhatsApp notifications.

Can I use an old iPad as a family calendar display?

Yes. This is one of the most popular ways families use PAM. Set the tablet up as an always-on display in the kitchen or living room so everyone can see what's on, tick off tasks and check the weekend plan. Here's how to set it up.

Does it cost extra to add family members on tablet?

No, nothing extra.

What if my partner doesn't want another app on their phone?

They don't need one. Send them web.mypam.co and they can use PAM in a browser tab, on their work computer or anywhere else, no install, no app store. You can also subscribe them to WhatsApp notifications so they only get updated about what they’re tagged in.
